Fun at the beach!

We took Payton out to Eagle Beach this afternoon to soak up some sun. He had a blast, playing with Clive (our friend from baby group), eating sand/rocks and throwing rocks into the water.

There's just something so irresistibly adorable about little nakey buns!! Payton's bum was a little red, so we were letting him air out. Of course, he just wanted to play outside, so we compromised!

Since it's been showing promising signs of Spring outside, I decided it was time to pull out the water table. Payton has been loving it! He's always drenched from head to toe, but he never complains ;)

Waiting for Dad...

Erik had to take his work van into Les Schwab to get the snow tires taken off, so while we were waiting for him to drop off the keys, Payton and I wandered around the CAT equipment next door. As you can tell from the pictures, Payton was fascinated and spent the whole time pointing to the equipment and saying "oooooh!"

Payton's favorite book is "Five Ugly Monsters". He loves to have us read it over and over and over and over....and over again. He chimes in when we get to the part where you yell at the monsters! Here's a quick clip of Payton reading to himself :)

Today we were invited over to the Murphy's house for an egg hunt! Payton really got into the hunt, and spotted quite a few eggs on his own!

As most of you know, if you wait for the rain to stop before going outside...you'll never get out there!! Luckily Payton owns some great rain gear. Today he played outside for an hour, in the rain, and had an absolute ball!!

I've been experimenting with making my own diapers...the first one turned out okay!! Although I've learned what improvements I need to make on the others already! I'll post more pics when I finish them! For now, here's my handsome model in his new diaper!

Sadly, I've succumbed to putting the portable dvd player in the jogger so I can get a quick run in. Payton will NOT sit still otherwise. He'd rather be out walking...and I don't want to move that slow! Needless to say, he stays quiet and happy the whole run!! ;)

Waiting for Nana...

Payton was being very impatient at Safeway yesterday while we were waiting for Nanny's meds to be done at the pharmacy. Since it was a nice day out, I let him hang out in the back of the truck with the dogs. He thought that was the funnest thing ever!!!
